Open Positions

Immediate open post-doc position LCA/LCC of new construction materials
A postdoctoral research position is available with focus area of buildings and cement innovation in the context of reduced environmental impacts and life cycle costing. We are seeking a researcher who is familiar with techno - economic assessment and LCC/LCA methods (prospective and consequential) with emphasis on emerging technologies for improved construction materials and working with engineering and R&D teams. The responsibilities of the applicant include developing LCCA/LCA models. Publishing in peer-reviewed journals is also expected. This position requires a strong modeling and programming background and familiarity with the energy-materials-building nexus.

Immediate open post doc position - Data Centers 2030
A postdoctoral research position is available with a focus area of data centers analysis with emphasis on systems energy consumption and technology analysis at the national scale. The position will support development of national level estimation to quantify the amount and types of data centers anticipated to be installed in Israel by 2030 including direct energy use, water use, emissions and indirect (i.e., upstream and downstream) sustainability impacts associated with data center information technology (IT) equipment and building infrastructure.
This research will further explore operational, technology, and policy interventions for reducing environmental and operational impacts over different temporal and spatial scales and forward-looking scenarios under different sets of conditions. These analyses will also support and improve physics-based models for quantifying the energy-water nexus of data centers under different climate, cooling technology, and operating conditions.

Open post doc position CDR and IAM
A postdoctoral research position is available for modeling emerging technologies, with focus area of carbon capture and removal (CDR) technologies within Integrated Assessment Models (IAM). We seek a researcher who is familiar with different CDR technologies, understands the concept of prospective LCA, and can apply new methods for evaluation of the projected impacts of the full-scale technologies' development using IAM.
