In this project we aim at establishing a cross-institutional Negative Emissions

Testing Center (NET-C) to advance the operational readiness of existing and emerging CDR technologies. The center will develop infrastructure and modeling tools to assess the effectiveness and risk aspects of realistic applications of these technologies. By establishing rigorous evaluation protocols in specific experimental hubs and leveraging a life cycle sustainability analysis framework, the NET-C will guide research efforts and investments toward the most promising technologies As the first center to conduct comprehensive, quantitative ecological, economic, and social evaluations of the selected CDR

technologies, the proposed NET-C is expected to facilitate the advancement and operative application of effective climate change mitigation measures internationally.

Project partners include the following:

Technion: Adi Radian (Lead PI), David Broday, Yohay Carmel, Yaniv Edery, Fadi Kizel, Naama Lang-Yona.
